Today I feature a wedding from 2013, which took place in the amazing Ballymagarvey Village in Co.Meath.
From start to finish I felt like a guest at this wedding. It was like meeting up with old friends, as I knew Kelley from her sisters wedding (Orla) which took place in 2011, at which Kelley was the Chief Bridesmaid.
Both Kelley & Stuart got ready in the same hotel, just up the road from Ballymagarvey, in Ashbourne. So there was a little ducking and diving to be done to make sure they didn’t see each other in the corridors! But it made life so easy for me, as I was able to photograph them both getting ready, only rooms apart. Two of The Powder Room Girls, Sandra & Nikki, were there to make sure Kelley & co looked amazing, and as always, they had them ready for lots of time to spare.
I also have to give a special mention to 2 companies. The first is The Little Cake Company – Aoibheann O’Toole, for creating one of the most amazing wedding cakes I have ever seen, and to Ronan Quinn, one of the easiest wedding videographers in Ireland to work with. He creates amazing wedding videos, and is an absolute joy to hang out with at any wedding.
The Civil Ceremony also took place in Ballymagarvey, and it looked amazing. Not only did Nikki Kavanagh do the stunning make up, she also sang for the ceremony, and as always it was flawless. Once the emotional ceremony was over we quickly photographed the families, so they were free for the rest of the day. Then the entire bridal party and I spent 20 minutes together to photograph a few formals and fun photos.
For the rest of the day I just hung out and candidly photographed all the guests having the time go their lives. Ultrasound, one of the best wedding bands in Ireland, made sure of that.
So thank you once again to Kelley & Stuart for including/inviting me to be part of your wedding. I look forward to seeing you both soon, at the next wedding your family has booked me for!!
