GLENLO ABBEY WEDDING

Glenlo Abbey Wedding

This was a perfect wedding from start to finish. Perfect weather, amazing hotel, beautiful church, and a stunning couple. Also there on the day, was the dynamic duo, Caroline Coyne – Make Up & Natalie O’Brien – Hair Stylist. These two are quite simply the best double act in the wedding industry. Always great craic when they are around, and always have the bridal party ready with loads of time to spare. But they had a very easy day on this wedding day!

Sinead & Patrick’s Wedding

From the second I walked in the craic had already started and it was a very lively house. And because Sinead and Patrick were getting ready so close together, there was time to shoot down and photograph Patrick getting ready.

There was a big crowd of familiar faces when I arrived at the church, as I had photographed Sinead’s cousins wedding in the past. So it was great to catch up with everyone. The church was the beautiful Renmore Barracks Church. One of my favourite churches in Galway. And because it was a sunny day, everyone was having a great time outside.

Sinead was brought to the church by Smyths Chauffeur Drive from Roscommon. Looking after the beautiful church music was Ingrid Madsen. And making sure the church and all of the flowers looked amazing was Daniela from The Art of Blooming Florist.

When we arrived at Glenlo Abbey Hotel the weather was perfect, so we went for a short wander around the grounds with the bridal party. This hotel is fast becoming one of my favourites in the west for wedding photography. Everytime I go there I seem to find somewhere new. It is truly a stunning location.

On the day I was working with the very talented Rory Walsh from Spire Productions, who was looking after the videography on the day. And the Cozy Cartel – Acoustic Band, made sure the party atmosphere continued while the band set up, keeping everyone party mode.

The band on the night were a favourite of mine, The Controversial All-Stars. They had the dance floor rocking within seconds of the first dance ending.

I want to thank Sinead & Patrick for including me at their very special wedding, and also for braving the nights cold air to get a night time photo. It was the perfect end to the perfect wedding. And a great way to show off Sinead’s amazing two piece dress!
