Today I am sharing a beautiful Glenlo Abbey Wedding Photography post.

Glenlo Abbey Wedding Photography. This was a perfect wedding from start to finish. Perfect weather, amazing hotel, beautiful church, and a stunning couple. Also there on the day, was the dynamic duo, Caroline Coyne - Make Up & Natalie O'Brien - Hair Stylist. These two are quiet simply the best double act in the wedding industry. Always great craic when they are around, and always have the bridal party ready with loads of time to spare. But they had a very easy day on this wedding day!

Glenlo Abbey Wedding Photography

From the second I walked in the craic had already started and it was a very lively house. And because Sinead and Patrick were getting ready so close together, there was time to shoot down and photograph Patrick getting ready.

There was a big crowd of familiar faces when I arrived at the church, as I had photographed Sinead's cousins wedding in the past. So it was great to catch up with everyone. The church was the beautiful Renmore Barracks Church. One of my favourite churches in Galway. And because it was a sunny day, everyone was having a great time outside.

Sinead was brought to the church by Smyths Chauffeur Drive from Roscommon. Looking after the beautiful church music was Ingrid Madsen. And making sure the church and all of the flowers looked amazing was Daniela from The Art of Blooming Florist.

When we arrived at Glenlo Abbey Hotel the weather was perfect, so we went for a short wander around the grounds with the bridal party. This hotel is fast becoming one of my favourites in the west for wedding photography. Everytime I go there I seem to find somewhere new. It is truly a stunning location.

On the day I was working with the very talented Rory Walsh from Spire Productions, who was looking after the videography on the day. And the Cozy Cartel - Acoustic Band, made sure the party atmosphere continued while the band set up, keeping everyone party mode.

The band on the night were a favourite of mine, The Controversial All-Stars. They had the dance floor rocking within seconds of the first dance ending.

I want to thank Sinead & Patrick for including me at their very special wedding, and also for braving the nights cold air to get a night time photo. It was the perfect end to the perfect wedding. And a great way to show off Sinead's amazing two piece dress!

Castle Leslie Wedding photos

Castle Leslie Wedding Photographer - Jenny & Tim's Wedding

Castle Leslie Wedding Photographer

Today I am sharing the wedding photos at Castle Leslie, by Castle Leslie Wedding Photographer, Gary Barrett. This is Jenny & Tim’s wedding in Castle Leslie, Co. Monaghan, one of my favourite locations in Ireland, and one of the best hotels in the world.
If it’s good enough for a Beatles wedding, then it is good enough for wedding singer, Jenny McCabe’s wedding.

Castle Leslie Wedding Photographer

Jenny is one of Ireland’s best wedding singers, so when I was asked by her to photograph her wedding I was both honoured and nervous! Honoured,as she has worked with hundreds of wedding suppliers, and nervous, to be chosen over all the photographers, to do a fellow professionals wedding.

Well there was no need to be nervous, because both Jenny & Tim were absolutely brilliant to work with. Along with their crazy bridal party, they made sure that this was one wedding I will never forget. And for some reason it was the first wedding that there was a catch phrase to! You’ve changed!! You had to be there!

Jenny and the gang got ready in one of Castle Leslie’s beautiful houses, not far from the hotel. And the ceremony was held a lovely church, just down the road, called St. Patricks of Corracrin. Looking after Jenny and the girls on the morning was Make Up artist, Lynn McKenna, from I Do Make Up, and hairstylist, Kim Naughton, from Cameo Hair, Glaslough, and they are an excellent pair. All the girls were ready on time, looking great, and had time for a sit down with some bubbly. Making sure the boys looked good, well that was up to themselves, and suits from Louis Copeland.

Jenny was brought to the church in style by Dixons wedding cars, and making sure all the flowers and Church looked amazing was Eileen at Sunflower Design.

The church music was by friends of Jenny and Tim accompanied by the Appassionata String Quartet, and it was beautiful.

Making sure all the magic moments were captured on film was Brendan Galvin - Wedding Videography. He was a pleasure to work with, and we had a great laugh on the day.

Wedding photos in Castle Leslie

When we arrived to do the wedding photos at Castle Leslie, a familiar face greeted us, and that was John Mathews, Manager at Castle Leslie. John used to work in another hotel I like, and it was great to see him here for the first time in his new role at Castle Leslie. John went above and beyond at this wedding. He never left our side and made sure Jenny and Tim were under an Umbrella in between photos. Even though looking at the photos you wouldn’t know it was raining. So I just wanted to mention John and say thank you for all his help on the day.

Castle Leslie Wedding Photographer

John also made sure that Jenny and Tim got there feet up on the cake table for a photograph, which is a Caste Leslie tradition.

Just before dinner Jenny and Tim surprised guests with a duet on the piano, as Jenny had been secretly teaching Tim a tune for the big day. And it went down a storm, and Tim’s very serious concentration face made for great photos!

Thank you once again to Jenny and Tim for a brilliant day. It was my absolute pleasure to be part of it. And to all the bridesmaids all I can say is….. you’ve changed!!!!

Barberstown Castle Wedding - Louise & Philip

We are coming to the end of a cold winter, so today I am featuring a warm winter wedding! This is the wedding of Louise & Philip, which took place in November, in Celbridge Church, and Barberstown Castle. Two perfect locations for wedding photography.

The day started in Louise's parents house. When I arrived the Powder Room Girls were hard at work, getting all the make up and hair-do's ready.
When I arrived at the church, my mate Bryan from BMB Wedding Films was there, catching all the action of the guests arriving. He is a pleasure to work with. Absolutely Fabulous Flowers had the church looking amazing.

A little time later Louise arrived courtesy of Connolly Chauffeurs, and it was time to get the wedding ceremony under way. The evening are short this time of year, so I was thankful the priest was quick! As we were heading to the stunning Castletown House for the bridal party photos. I have only photographed here on 2 other occasions, but it is absolutely perfect for wedding photographs.

After only 20 minutes there, we headed to Barberstown Castle to get the evenings fun underway.

Thank you to Louise & Philip for including me on your big day. Best of luck together.

Lough Rynn Castle

Lough Rynn Castle

Lough Rynn Castle is the venue for todays featured wedding on my blog, Gary Barrett Photography. This is one of my favourite venues in the country for photographing a wedding, and couple this with Paula & Brian's happiness, it was a fantastic day from start to finish.
One thing I love is when a couple gets ready in the same venue. It gives me the opportunity to photograph them both getting ready, and it tells a good story in photographs for a couples album.
Lough Rynn Castle Wedding

Lough Rynn Castle

Both Paula & Brian got ready in Lough Rynn Castle, and it was fun and stress free from start to finish. Kelly O'Dowd was on hand with her make up skills getting the girls ready for the day, along with Grafters Hair salon looking after the hair do's!!

The ceremony took place in Mohill church, where Aisling Sammon provided the beautiful music for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we headed back to to the stunning grounds of Lough Rynn Castle. This is a beautiful place to photograph a wedding, it has everything a wedding photographer could ask for, with it's woods, secret walled garden, and lakeside setting. I absolutely love photographing weddings here.

A huge thank you must go to Paula & Brian,  for having me photograph their wedding, and for letting me share one one of the biggest days of their lives.

The Lodge at Ashford Castle - Laura & Kieran

Today I am sharing Laura & Kieran's wedding, which took place in Tuam Cathedral & The Lodge at Ashford Castle.

The sun shone all day for this lovely couple both neighbours in Tuam, apart from one crazy shower after mass, but it helped get everyone into their cars, and straight to the bar!!

The bridal party and I stopped at the beautiful  Abbey at Cong, for photographs. There really is no better place for photographing a wedding. After a very short stop there I was happy to get back to one of Irelands best wedding venues, The Lodge at Ashford Castle. Here it was time for a couple of family photographs while sipping Champagne on the lawn...... I stuck to taking the photographs!

I hope you all enjoy the photographs. Please feel free to comment, like and share.

Until next time, thanks again.
