CASTLE LESLIE WEDDING
This is Jenny & Tim’s wedding in Castle Leslie, Co. Monaghan, one of my favourite locations in Ireland, and one of the best hotels in the world. If it’s good enough for a Beatles wedding, then it is good enough for wedding singer, Jenny McCabe’s wedding.
Jenny & Tim’s Wedding
Jenny is one of Ireland’s best wedding singers, so when I was asked by her to photograph her wedding I was both honoured and nervous! Honoured,as she has worked with hundreds of wedding suppliers, and nervous, to be chosen over all the photographers, to do a fellow professionals wedding.
Well there was no need to be nervous, because both Jenny & Tim were absolutely brilliant to work with. Along with their crazy bridal party, they made sure that this was one wedding I will never forget. And for some reason it was the first wedding that there was a catch phrase to! You’ve changed!! You had to be there!
Jenny and the gang got ready in one of Castle Leslie’s beautiful houses, not far from the hotel. And the ceremony was held a lovely church, just down the road, called St. Patricks of Corracrin. Looking after Jenny and the girls on the morning was Make Up artist, Lynn McKenna, from I Do Make Up, and hairstylist, Kim Naughton, from Cameo Hair, Glaslough, and they are an excellent pair. All the girls were ready on time, looking great, and had time for a sit down with some bubbly. Making sure the boys looked good, well that was up to themselves, and suits from Louis Copeland.
Jenny was brought to the church in style by Dixons wedding cars, and making sure all the flowers and Church looked amazing was Eileen at Sunflower Design.
The church music was by friends of Jenny and Tim accompanied by the Appassionata String Quartet, and it was beautiful.
Making sure all the magic moments were captured on film was Brendan Galvin – Wedding Videography. He was a pleasure to work with, and we had a great laugh on the day.
When we arrived to do the wedding photos at Castle Leslie, a familiar face greeted us, and that was John Mathews, Manager at Castle Leslie. John used to work in another hotel I like, and it was great to see him here for the first time in his new role at Castle Leslie. John went above and beyond at this wedding. He never left our side and made sure Jenny and Tim were under an Umbrella in between photos. Even though looking at the photos you wouldn’t know it was raining. So I just wanted to mention John and say thank you for all his help on the day.
John also made sure that Jenny and Tim got there feet up on the cake table for a photograph, which is a Caste Leslie tradition.
Just before dinner Jenny and Tim surprised guests with a duet on the piano, as Jenny had been secretly teaching Tim a tune for the big day. And it went down a storm, and Tim’s very serious concentration face made for great photos!
Thank you once again to Jenny and Tim for a brilliant day. It was my absolute pleasure to be part of it. And to all the bridesmaids all I can say is….. you’ve changed!!!!
