GLASSON LAKEHOUSE WEDDING

Glasson Lakehouse is one of my favourite hotels in the midlands. It has everything that you need when it comes to wedding photography. Beautiful woodlands greet you as you enter the estate, followed by stunning views of Lough Ree. It is a wedding photographers dream.

Ruth and Dermot’s Wedding

The ceremony was a very short spin from Glasson Lakehouse, in a beautiful church in Tubberclair. Dermot’s sister Ailbhe provided the church music. I meet Ailbhe at a lot of weddings, and she is brilliant. In my opinion, she is definitely one of the Top 5 wedding singers in the country. The Church is newly renovated, with a lovely wooded area beside it, which is ideal for the family photographs. I always encourage couples to have the family photographs on the church grounds , or close by. By doing this, the families can go to the hotel in the knowledge that they are free to do want they wish, and their photos are done.

Ruth and Dermot’s day was perfect weather, which allowed guests to have some outdoor drinks on the patio, while taking in the sun and views. While the guests were relaxing, the bridal party and I started on the wedding photography. We first stopped inside the gate in the woodlands, then the hotel management had the golf buggies ready and chauffeured us down to the lake, where I spent 10 minutes with the couple on the golf course, and wooden bridge. We even had time for some drone photography.
